POWER FROM COVE.
Water Turned Into the Ditch This
Morning.
Manager Fred Housh received a tel
ephone message this morning from the
Cove station that the ditch had been
thoroughly cleaned out and that wa
ter had been turned in this morning
at 10 o'clock. By night It Is expected
that the water will have filled the pipe
and a sufficient head secured to ena
ble the company to generate current
this evening. In case this Is done the
water at the La Grande station will be
shut off and the power will be fur
nlshed by the Cove plant. Mr. Housh
does not expect the Cove station will
be able to afford ery more power at
this time than the La Grande station
is now doing, but telleves that present
conditions can be maintained and the
water in Morgan. lako saved for use In
of a freeze un cf the Cove supply,
