were entertained this afternoon at the
home- of Mrs.' J. J. Carr. Dainty re
freshments were served and a very
enjoyable afternoon was spent.
Mr. and Mrs. O. W, Roden and lit
tle son William, arrived in La Grande
last night from Butte, Mont and will
visit at the home of Roadmaster and
Mrs. G. W. Nelson. Mr. Roden and
Mrs. Nelson are brother and sister.

topic for discussion was "Future
America." Lunch waa served and a
very protitr.ble afternoon waa spent.

gram was enlivened by recitation by
Ora Brown. Sarah Smith and Marjorle
MoCalt, aud a solo by Naomi Simmons.
