A resolution Was passed Instructing the chief of tho fire department to al low no more than KO cents an Hour for labor at fires. This was caused by the presentatlo'n of a bill of 50 cents per hour. The bill was. allowed, but hereafter the price Is limited. The frosting of the windows of the billiard room and bowling alley re sulted In a motion being made to have the frosting removed or steps would be taken to revoke his license. As the council Is to meet again thlf week, it was suggested that the pro prietor be Informed of the attitude of the council and In case he did not act upon the suggestion that more drastic measures would bo taken. II Is thought the wishes of the counotl will be respected Immediately. .
