Then came' the story of the "Pie-girl"
by which the defense . expect . to show
ome of 'he debased mental condition and
cold bloodedness of White.
WHAT PIE-GIRL MEANT
Evelyn related the incident of the pie
girl supper and what it meant Sh said
"I was in a theatre one night, d-essing,
when White came to me and told in a
proud manner ot the 'best staunt he ever
did.' He continued to tell m that this
particular girl was a pretty young thing,
being only fifteen. White had a monster
pie made, and placed within the pie the
girl and some live fowl.

White admitted to me that ha nearly got
into trouble over it but managed to sup

White but Jerome was the only one who
heard who they were.
