ISLAND CITY ITEMS Mr. and Mr. Sam Wade visited at Mr. Thomat Wade's Friday and Saturday. Mr. Claude Scranton of Baker City at tended the funeral of Mr. W. G. Hunter Friday. Mr. John Rowley, a nephew of the late Wm. O. Hunter, will return in a day or so to his home in Westfall. Miss Nelle Grimmett returned Sunday to Walla Walla. She was called home by the death of her uncle, Wm Hunter. Mr. and Mrs. Sol Twidwell are now keeping house in the Eli Baer place, where they will be at home to their many friends. Mrs. C. H. Bidwell is able to be cut again after a month's illness. Mr. William Berry and family formerly of Idaho are now residents of Island. Mrs. Berry is a sister of Mr. Walter Williams of this place. Mi. Clay Ellsworth at the present writing is considered no better. Mr. Ellsworth has been very sick for several days, the result of blood-poisoning. Rev. Gillilan filled the pulpit in the Union church Wednesday night. All were glad to hear him again, it having been months since he has been able to be with us in a service. Mr. and Mrs. Morton Kiddle arrived home Saturday from Portland, while away they visited Miss Netta Kiddle in Salem. Dr. and Mrs. Barnes of North Powder attended t-e funeral of Wm Hunter Fri day, and remained a day or so with their daughter, Mrs. A. R. Hunter.
