ever put on the stage in this city. .. The

acting and bttracted much attention. Mrs.
Ethel DeVere as Lena Kellar, the wait
ress was perfect in her workv Janette

THE POLMATIER SISTERS ' '
Th Polmatier Sisters, who the La
Grande Commercial Club ha aeeured to
appear in this city on February first, have
made decided hits . wherever tbey have
appeared. Their concerts are of a high
claea and the reciters are of th best. Th
six piece orchestra, composed of the ' six
istera, is credited to be a ' wonder and
their dance music is something extraord
inary. "Sergeant Kitty" with dainty fivacious
Helen Pyron heading the big cast em
ployed, will be seen at the Steward
Opera House on Saturday Feb. 2. There
t a craze at the moment for thing
"musical" in th desire of th theatre
goer. So great has this demand been
that every order of entertainment from a
slap stick farce up that had enough girls
to be called chorus has gone into the
class called "musical" plays, but this one
