The movement was originally inaugurated by some of the most influential laymen rep resenting all protestant denominations and several millionaires have come for ward to help in the gigantic task. Amongst those who spoke on the sub ject today were Samuel Copen of Boston John S Huylar and William Schieffelin ot New Yorie; Joshua Levering of Baltimore John Foster of Washington: Major A P Burchfield of Pittsburg: N W Harris of Chicago; Bishop Baskford of China and ex-governor Beaver of Beliefonte Pa. It was announced by Bishop Bashford that investigations in foreign lands would be made by a commission of fifty or more i wenlthy lnymn who will dsvotS ft pettier. of their time this year while traveling to the business of Christanity. The work already accomplished in foreign mission fields will be fully investigated during this year and the work greatly extended. The movement has been organized as res ult of the centennial anniversary of the Haystack Prayer meeting held in the Fifth Avenue Church, New York in November. ! Re cently the holdings of the company were attached for a snug sum. and today the company's property i again bemg at tached as a complaint filed in the circuit court by Contractor A. J.
