Smith of Alicel appeared and asked that certain warrant drawn in his favor be canceled. Mr. Smith gave as reason for this action that while the warrant was legally drawn, and according to law he did not wish to accept it because he did not feel that he had earned the money. It seems that Mr. Smith had been summoned to appear before the cir cuit court and had only been in the court room a few moments, and therefore did not feel that he could with justice to him self draw pay for the day and millage. The court did as requested. This is certainly a new departure and Mr. Smith is to be congratulated upon being the first to set an example of hon esty which should be followed by others who at times receive warrants for which they gave the county little or nothing in r turn.
