Mr. Theodore Lorch has added laurels
to his reputation in his production of the
great detective character of Sherlork
Holmes in "Trie Sign of the Four" which
will be seen at the Steward's opera House
this evening. The play is under direct
ion of Mr. Tom B. Loftus and is in every
respect equal to the production as given
in the largest theatres of New York and
London. The mechanical effects are
superb and (the character delineations
are of high order. There' it not an un
nteresting moment in the development
of the plot and a pretty love story rut s
thru the intricacies of the detection of
crime. 1 he play at it will be presented
in Stew rd's opera House has attracted
large audiences wherever it hat been

MISS MAUDE FEALY
R. W. Priest, one of the representatives
of "The Illusion of Beatrice", Martha
Morton's latest dramatic comedy success,
in which Miss Maude Fealy is this season
starring, paid the Observer a pleasant
visit thif morning, and chatted at some
length about hit interesting little star. He
tells us that both star and play are a
huge financial and artistic success, and
that John Cort, who is introducing the
younges American dramatic star to the
play going public, is delighted with the
flattering reception accorded Miss Fealy
in each city visited.
The souvenir photo fiends would cer
tainly be delighted to meet Mr. Pr est. on
account of the splendid collection of auto
graphed photos of Miss Fealy, which he
has in his possession. It will be remerr
bered that Miss Fealy's phcto was
awarded the first prize at the Paris Ex
position, in the contest of the world's mcst
beautiful women. This, coupled with the
fact that Maude Fealy was selected by

available American and European talent,
