REASON
Why io and buy a ready made suit when I can make
you one just as cheap. Measured by an experienced
tailor as it takes years to learn how to take measures
and give a man a fit and a good suit. How can a clerk
with no experience except to go by a book form, give
you what you pay for?

The present move for a phonetic spell
ing system is not a new tendency after
alL Mora ' than a century ago Noah
Webster who later became the peer
among dictionary authors, advocated a
change from the glaring monstrosities of
the spelling books of Dilworth and Jonton
which war then textbooks in the new
England schools. Webster was then a
young man twenty-seven years of age,
and enthusiastically went on the stump
lecturing in favor of a simplified ortho
graphy but like so many who since his day
have attempted to stir an inconsiderate
public to realize the advantages of reform
he found it useless to continue the work
Later, when preparing his famous dict
ionary he innovated few rectifications
in the spelling dropping the superfluous
"iT in such words as "flavor," "harbor."
etc. and changing the old " tre" in words
of the class of "theatre" "metre" etc. to
"ter."

PARENTS TAKE ROTKE
A lot of little boys are daily in and
about our factory grounds, climbing into
loaded wagons will surely get hurt unless
a stop is promptly had. I have posted
notices on our gates, "Children keep out"
but it does not do the work. Kindly give
notice over my signature that we will have
the boys taken out by an officer if no other
way. Better do this than deliver a man
gled lad to his mother.
