en farm in the world it toon to be started
in Palmer township three and on half
miles from her. The farm, which con
srsts of Q7) acres, has been purchased
from Wilton Bros., of Eatton by William
Talmagt of Toronto Can., and John
Haumpt of this city.
The land was purchased for $15,000.
The new owners will take possession to
day. This fall 1.000 laying hens will be
placed upon it, and the number increased
to 1 0.000. The largest chicken farm at
present ie said to contain 8,400.
To equip and stock the r.ew farm will
mean an outlay estimated at from $40.

PRESIDENT RETURNS HONE
President Roosevelt will return to
Washington tomorrow, from his home at
Oyster Bay, N. Y., where he spent the
summer. Soon after his return he will
make a flying trip to Pennsylvania to
make a speech at the dedication of the
new capitol at Harrisburg and another at
the county fair in York. In November
the President plans to go to Panama to

is anticipated that another shake-up in the
canal building management is near. Chair
man Shonta is not generally regarded as
likely to hold his job long. While the
President has been at Oyster Bay, the

paired and quit a portion of the lower

CHAMBERLAIN IS YISITWG BAKER
Governor Chamberlain arrived last night
from Hot Lake where he has been taking
a day's vacation on his way to Harney

Road, said bridge to be built in accord
