About ight or nin mil up th stream from camp thy picked up tha boy' trail and Mr. Lynch hurried on whila Mr. Konizeski, who had no horsa, built a big fir and waited for hit return. The boys were found a short distance farther up creek still heading on into the wilderness. They were nearly exhausted and seemed to have no idea where they were aoine. They had been without food or shelter! for 60 hour and th younger boy, who is but 1 0 years of age, was very weak and completely worn out. The older boy, who is sixteen vears old. had davotad himself to caring for hie brother, and it was tnrough he thoughtfulness that the little fellow had been able to keeo uo for so long.-r-Pendleton E. O. HONESTY BRINGS Wf AIM TO BOY James Harvey of La Grande, who was in the city show day, accidentally lost from hi hip pocket a bill book containing $40 in bill and some valuable paper. After arriving on the show ground he missed the wallet and supposed it had been stolen. While he wa deliberating on the best method of procedure in order to recover his money, a little boy rushed up panting for breath end held out the wallet to Mr. Harvey. The little fellow saw th wallet fall from hit pocket while he wa Mated in a conveyance enroute to th groundt and ruthing into the street he seized the pocket book and chased the wagon in which Mr. Harvey was riding to the cir cus and returned it to him. Mr. Harvey divided th contents of the purs with th boy. The City of La Grande does ordain as follows: Section 1. It is hereby ordained and ordered that the Oregon Railroad and Navigation Company, a private corpora tion, organized existing and doing business under and by virtue of the laws of the State of Oregon, and its successors in interests shall have a perpetual franchise and right of way upon and along Marion Street in the City of La Grande, Oregon from the intersection of said Street with the right of way of said Railroad tympany in said City, extending North the entire lensth of said Street as now laid out, platted and dedicated to public use. Section 2.
