Mrs. Huffman and Mr. Mary Wade re up from Elgin. The gutsvs of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wade. Mr. and Mrs. Hughey are; here from "linois visiting the Utters sister Mrs Henry Lovan. Mr. and Mrs. Hughey ei press themselves delighted with our beau tiful valley. Mrs. Sophia Allen from Portland is in Cove to spend the summer: with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Lane. Mr. JoelOrton of Nibley has purchased a lot from Mr. Griggs and will build a residence this fall. Miss Dora Selderone of Cove's popular young ladies has returned home tram Portland where she has been for some time and will spend the summer with herparents. Her many friends are glad to greet her again. Mrs. Nellie Grace has accepted a pos ition for the fall Urm nl rhn,,i 3 cv... . Mrs. Grace is one of Malhuer's successful I teacners and will no doubt give excellent satisfaction. The manv friends nf Mr nj M, j Wentworth will be pleased to learn of the advent of a son to their home. Mr and Mrs. Wentworth formerly resided at Warm Springs Cove. They now live ii Maine. cove iirws Mrs. Phebe Milene widow of the late Fran Milene who was drowned in Indian creek in the spring of 1905 died July 6th 1 J J 6 aged SO years ar.d left three children gue 12, Kaipii iu duo iieiue G yi.ai Mrs. Milene was a sister of J. E. Weavar the new contractsr for the Union-Cove stage line. He was called in time to see r.er before her death and attended the uneral the 7th. Mrs. Milene was a member of the Presbyterian church. J. G. Stevens and family left town Wednesday for an outing in the .mount ains. ' Miss F. J. Roberts loft Cove Monday for North Powder to take cl.arge of the new printing plant. Miss Roberts farnerly edited the Minor at Steeiville Mo. Miss Ida Walton who has twen teaching school near Elgin returned to Cove the 23 for her vacation. Mrs. Wagner whohas the subcontract on the Oove-Nibley mail route returned Friday with her mother Mrs. Bloom from their visit to friends i.- Elgin. Mr. Hayden the Cherry stripper came in from Lewjston Monday. The Richards house is closed for the summer on account of Mis. Richard's ndispotition. Rev. L. K. Robinson has regular preach ing appointments now at Elgin and North Powder. Mrs. Grace was visiting Union the latter part of last week.
