ROT HANI DEMOCRATS In 1 1 Oregon counties out of 28 from which complete official election returns have received not a single Democratic candidate was successful in securing a county office at the polls this month. The counties which went Republican from top to bottom on local offices were Columbia Crook, Jackson, Lake, Marion, Multnomah Sherman, Tillamook, Wasco, Washington and Wheeler. In Multnomah however the office of Sheriff is still in doubt, own ing to the recount which is in progress. The counties from which full returns are not at hand are Curry. Klamath, Lincoln, Malheur and Wallowa. In the other 1 7 counties the Democrats succeeded n landing one or more of their candidates for county offices. Only in Baker was practically the entire Democratic county ticket elected. This was to expected as that county is a Democratic stronghold in Oregon, as is should by the fact that it helped swell Chambeslain's majority by nearly 700 votes, and also gave Gearin a lead over Bourne. In only six counties did the Dem ocrats elect as many as three officers, while in five counties the party got only one office. One peculiarity of the election is fiat it has resulted in giving Oregon 13 Demo cratic Sheriffs. People who are clean inside will look like it and act it. They will work with energy, think clearly, act clearly and have healthy thoughts. Hollisters Rocky Mountain Tea. It makes clean people. 35 cents, Tea or Tablets. Newlin Dbuo Company. : Sat jUNJ wt.
