Mr. Ripley in an informal way told of hie Investigation of the various fruit sections in Idaho, Oregon and Washington and that he thought Crande Ronde valley offered the best natural inductnente of any of the places visited and during the few days that he had been here, was convinced that a factory costing $50,000 which would work up 60,000 bushels of apple annually for which the factory could pay $5 per ton delivered, would be a profitable investment.
