Association) Berlin, May 8 Facts have just coma to light which throw a clear light on the clever manner in which a Polish soldier, named Roeinski, escaped from the prison in Rosen. Rosinski was under eentence of death for murdering and robbing a wealthy landowner. The rondemned man was guarded most carefully. An rmed sentry patrolled the oorrklor into which the cell of Roeinski opened, and was instructed, to keep constant watch on the prisoner's doings through a peep hole in the cell door. In spite of all this, Rosinski escaped and for a while it seem ed inexplicable how he could do it Since then, however, a careful investigation has brought to lignt all the facts in the daring scape. Rosinski tied his bedclothes and spare body-linen into the shape of a man placed it in the bed, under which he crept The sentry was thus deceived, and, actually under the guard's eyee Rosinski scraped anoie in we noor, presumably with a nail, which was afterwards discovered. He had found a '. place where the floor ii u iwttn repairea ana tne material used was so soft that he could make a hole large enough to drop through into the cell underneath. This was unoccupied, and the door, consequently, was not locked Rosinski calmly walked out and reached the courtyard unobserved in the darkness. The wall wae too high, but he managed to reach the top with the aid of the win dow ells and dropped down unto the other side in eafety and freedom.. His hymn- book was found, covered with blood on the top of the wall. ' The eentry had heard a .noise in the cell, but fancied it came from the lower tier cells. At three o'clock, however, he called the inspector and the flight was discovered. Although Rosinski wore the uniform of hie regiment the soldiers who secured , the eurrounding country for many miles were not able to find the slighest trace of the escaped criminal The police authorities! throughout Ger many have notified and requested to watch out for the fugitive. r OoOasoof Pnoumonio on There is no case on re cord of a cold resulting in Pneumonia, or other seri ous lung trouble, after had been taken.
