Grande last year for while, but who
was finally released, is now playing with

with the ueam here this season. McCull
was th fast fielder and the hardest hitter
in the Walla Walla team last year. He
will make a valuable addition to the
team here if he decides to join the "Mud
Hookers." He will be seen in the Center

IN PENDLETON ON MAY 50
L. F. Ivanhoe, a student in the Pendle
on high school, returned this morning,
and says that that th Pendleton track
and field management has cinched the
big meet and final arrangements are being
made. La Grande and Baker City have
received invitations to attend, but he
think, that Pendleton ' has many mo re
chance, of winning. Their crack hurdler
will not compete thi. year.
GEORGE GRAY MANAGES '
PENDLETON,
George Gray, an enthusiastic fan of '
Pendleton will manage th ball tossers
from that city this year. He has been
busy the last two day. signing players
and already has a strong aggregation.
Although late in the season, Pendleton
will be a strong figure in the Inland teams,
if she can hold the player, now signed.

championship. Jay Gould of America de
feated Hill the Englishman. On Monday,
Gould will play Ennual, another English
man, and if he wins, will be entitled to

killing without provocation, Joseph Meyer
