They are of very pleasing design and the winners will have something to be proud. These contest have been very popular tmce they were inaugurate rour years ago. They are entertaining to those who hear them and of great value to those who share in them. There is such a keen desire to win, such an earnest purpose to excel, such a thorough effort to make the stronsest showing in the argument that one finds himself an excited partisan be fore he knows it - Thi debate will no doubt be (he most exciting ever held here. The subject is one of absorbing interest to every one The women suffragists will be out in force to cheer their champion on to victory. The high school, radiant in their colors, will be there with their school yells to helD their representations. The other side will have their friends also who will do what they can to overthrow the cut-1 f ragist. It will be a good place for voters to inform themselves. Every ar gument pro and con will be advanced. The representative on each side are the best that our school can produce and are mature enough in judgement to under stand the subject very thoroughly. Every man and every women whose heart i young should be there to encourage the young people in so laudable an effort. The music, the speaking, the waving of colors, the cheering of boys and girls, the joyous laughter, the smiling faces should so appeal to our people that stand ing room in Steward's Opera House next Wednesday evening wil be at a premium fRAZIR COMPANY LEAVE LA GRANDE.
