Balance 45 44 STOLEN CRIPS RECOVERED In yesterday's Observer appeared an advertisement calling attention to a lost suit case and a grip. Both articles were found yesterday evening and reported to this office. They were placed on the train in this city March 1 2, and had dis appeared before the train reached Hot Lake. Both articles had been taken off the train and' cut open and the contents examined, but apparently nothing taken from them. After the theives had given them a careful examination they placed them under John Wilson's feed store, and where they were discovered. Officers claim there ie an organized gang of thieves working the trains from La Grande to Huntington, who make life a burden to the trainmen and the destina tion of baggage an uncertainty.
