On July 25th the school board of
district No 1 nv t in regular session to
receive the plans for the erection of
the new school house across the track
on the North side. All of the members
were present and' the plans were re
ceived and gone over thoroughly. ' So
much time was used in going over the
plans of the numerdus architects thai
the business was not finished that
night, and the meeting was adjourned
until tonight, at which time the board
will take steps in regard (o the accept
ance of .tome of the proposed plans.
Plans were presented by Mr John Pla
ter and Mr 0 E Thornton of this city,
Howard &, Swinglr of Pendleton, 0 E
Troutman, Pendleton, and Medford
Jones of Spokane. The aotinn on these
plans and specifications will probably
