the regiment would pass. The regi
ment received permission from the
federal authorities of the United
States to cross the boundary, bat they
would not be allowed to carry arms
en route, as the laws of Massachusetts
definitely forbid the invasion of the
state by an armed body.

harvest will be In full blast inside of
another week, and estimates made by

of Oregon, Washington and Northern

brought on earlier than nanal by the
period of very warm ; weather than

wheat In the Palouse county estimated
