last night. Judge Bellinger was to

in certain land cases. No decision has
yet been resohed as to who will be ap.

The situation in Oregon is peculiar.
One senator and both representatives
re under indictment. They cannot
be consulted, of coarse, ss to the ap
pointment. In view of the condition which exists,
it is qnlte probable that Judge William
II Hunt of the district of Montana
will be designated to try the land fraud
cases. It may be some time before the
permanent aucoessor to Judge Belling
er Is named .
