There will be three sessions each day, and preparations are being made for an immense crowd by the hospitable and enterprising peopleol Sumrnerville and vicinity Daring tbe sessions, lectures will be delivered by those who are oompetent to explain on Agri culture, Horticulture, Live stock, and all of tbe many other features of farm ing successfully. Discussions of all questions o noemiog the farm and ranch will be in order, and suggestions will be solicited. This Farmer's Institute bids fair to be the best at tended and tbe producer ot more good than any which has been hold in east ern Oregon, for the reason that tbe Oregon f.gricnltutal College 1b doing along this line, and are beginning to take advantage of the ideas and ex periments of the teachers in the college. Not only this bat it does all the farm ers good to get together and discuss those things that are their whole exist ence, their meat and bread, and their daily life so that by gksning some thing form this one, another thought or suggestion from that cne, be be comes better able to meet tbe troubles of farmisg life, to overcome the toes of plant life and to protect his live stock to a better advantage at a smaller cost. The people of Sumrnerville and vsolnlty bane always been J progressive along1 thft line, and have always attended sessions of this kind in large numbers, no matter in what part of tbe county it might be. And now it behooves La Grande and the rest of the oounty to turd QUt "en masse" in reciprocation ancPhelp Sumrnerville to make tha coming Institute a success in every respect.
