March 23 The United States Court of Appeals today, reversed tbe case of Letson Balliet, of Baker City, Or, against tbe United ' Stat e e and ordered a new trial. Balliet war sentenced to a term of one year in the penitentiary on a charge of having used the mails to defrand, in connection with promoting mining schemes. STORE of Dress 0e- i J apers i Sale Relatives Heard From Judge Grant, yesterday morning, re ceived a telegram from a brother of the unfortunate laaao Howard, who was killed Monday morning at Kamela, the message coming from Minnesota. Mr Grant also received a telegram from Mr Howard's mother and another brother who live in Iowa. This telegram con tained Instructions to ship Mr Howard's body, to Union. Iowa for interment. Mr Grant has wired for funds to cow the expenses and the body will p oh ably be shipped tonight.
