Section 1. Any person herralier eith
er desiring to const met a Cement or
Concrete Sidewalk within the City ol
St. Helens, Oregon, or being ordered to
do so by the Common Count il thereof,
shall, after the City has established the
grade therefor, and the topography of
the ground will permit, pioceed to con
struct a cement or concrete curb of the
heighth required, and six inches in
thickness, with joints struck at interuls
of every 3 feet, the outer edno of which
curb shall 1 18 feet from the property
line ;
Section 2. The walk, its -If, shall be
constructed of concrete, of proper mix
ture and proportions, to I e not less then
6 feet in width, the innc edge of whnh,
or edge next to the property line, shall

Considerable trouble was exer-
ienced the last week with the heat
ing system in the school building. I
The trouble was finally located !
Wednesday, when it was found that
all the surface water tlowinur down
Columbia street was flowing through :
the steam box and around the main '
runninjr down Cowlitz street to the
river, which was caused iy the
drainage channel becoming- clogged.
As soon as the trouble wits removed
the school building heated tip in a
few minutes.
