Mans Chambers had a bad spell
with his heart Sunday night, but is
on duty again this week.
Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Smith of
Trenholm were shopping in Houlton
this week.
Mr. Smith reports that his son-in-law
Fred Fleeter has killed thirteen
wild cats, five couger and one bear
this year, and has gone out after
more accompanied by Tommy Woo
man, the fish and game warden.
The varmints had better lay low
when a pair of scouts, with the re
putation for accurate shooting
of these two, gets after them.
Mrs. Decker has taken the rooms
over S. S. Long's confectionery.
Dutch Eversaul's best horse came
near dying last Monday. It was for fall sowing.

calls it water founder but assures
Mr. Eversaul that the horse has
a good chance for recovery.

Brown and Tom Grewell are run
ning the thresher this year and will

the Court from froofs filed herein,
that due notice of the pendency of
this proceed in? has been Riven as
by law required; that petitioner hasi
not been convicted of wilfully sell
ing or delivering spiritous, vinous,
fermented or malt liquors to a min
or, or of wilfully allowing a minor
to loiter in or about any place where
such liquors are sold or disposed of;
And it further appearing to the
Court that said petition contains the
signatures of the majority of all the
legal voters of said precinct who
are actual residents thereof, and
who have actually resided therein
at least thirty days immediately
preceding the signing and preserr
tation of said petition.
And the said Petitioner having j
filed with the Clerk of this Court a
bond duly approved by the County
Judge, and also having filed a du
plicate receipt of the County Tieaa
urer in the sum of Four Hundred
Dollars, and the Court being ad
vised in the premises, it Is ordered
by the Court that said petition be
granted, and that License issue to
the said Makinster & Nussbaumer,
to sell spiritous, vinous and malt
liquors and fermented cider in less
quantities than one gallon, in Goble
Precinct, for the period of twelve
months from this date.

43 for Two Dollars for One Wild
Cat, and the Court being advised in
the Matter, it is ordered by the

tion 2, in Township 4 North Range
2 West of the Willamette Meridian
in said county and state, and run
ning thence in a Northwesterly dir
ection to, ar.d terminating at a
Stake marked "R" net in the Cen-
ter of the County road 15 rods i
North of the North .vest corner of
Section '2, in Township 4 North
Kanpe 2 West of the Willamette
Meridian.
