The St. Helens Base Ball Team is deserving of the undivided support of the Fans of this vicin ity. It now stands at the top of the percentage column In the league, being tied with Cathla met for those honors. It has met and defeated every team in the league and has not lost a game to any other team in CoU umbla County. The only games lost have been with Cathlamet and Kelso, The boys are play ing a fast game and the people are appreciating it. We have no apologies to make for our team and only mention it to keep up. the interest already manifested by our people. It must be ra. membered that th only place where the boys get any money out of the games is at home and we get it all here, so if you are interested at all in the great garoa help the local team out by your presence at every game played at home. The boys will appreciate it and it helps the town. also for the farmer and business man. The people in that country are entitled to a direct road con necting them with the county seat and a more direct mail route.
