The State Lecturer has also been Invited, and those who fall to attend will miss the opportupity of listening to the best informed man in the S'ste on subjects of interest to farmers and others. The place of meeting has not yet been de termined upon, but unless some of tbe stibordin ite granges take action soon aud invite the Pomona to meet with them, the Executive Committee will name llie place as agreed at the last meeting of Pomona. GRAY, St. Helens The Willaruettes of Portland, took tbe local ball team into camp last Sunday by a score of 6 to 2, but it was no dis grace to be beat by such a team. It was tbe same team that has been playing all summer for tbe Multnomah Club, and has defeated all the colleges in the State. The visitors started the game by getting a score in the first inning and shutting the locals out. In tbe second inning the b3ys scored their two runs on errors by the Portland team . Every score made by eituelr side during the game was 011 er tors. Brakke, tbe St. Helens pitcher, held the visitors down to a very few hits, While tbe work of the Willamettes bat tery, De Neffe and Stott was tbe feature of the game. Next Sunday. July 5tb the boys play the O. K. tenm of Portland and on Monday, July am, they once more tang'e up with our ancient enemy, tbe R.-tlnier aggregation.
