In addition it passed 262 private pension bills and read the Mann general bridge bill, making it the unfinished business for Mondav. Chairman Hepbnrn today reported to the honse hia railroad rate bill with the favorable recommemla'ion of the entire committee. The bill will come up next week. Friday, dan. 28. Washington, Jan. 26. The first at tempt at filibimtering during this ees sion occurred in the hotisn ttxlay on a Democratic endeavor to de'eat the pro vision of the urirent deficiency bill walvins the eight-hour law for foreign laborers on the Panama canal.
