An Important Dkcisio. The suit
of Muckle Bro. against the Lone Star
Lumber Company for possession of the
mill property at this place was decided
: Saturday last by Judge T. A. McBride.
The Lone Star Company leased the mill
from Muckle Bros., and on July 1st. last,
Livesley, the president of the Company,
, agreed to purchase the same for the sum
of $10,000; but on that date made a tend
er of the money and found fault with
j the title, The suit was then brought and
! defendant filed a cross bill, claiming
, defective title and asking for $15,000
damages for betterments made by them
, to the property. The decision quiets the
I title in Muckle Bros., and orders the de-
fendant to pay into Court the purchase
! price within thirty days, in default of
which plaintiffs are awarded $175 per
month rental from July 1st., 1903, Muck
I le Bros, to give a warranty deed to the
property in question. It is generally
thought the mill will revert to Muckle
nros., in wnicu cae u i neuevea ii win
be greatly improved and run to its full
capacity, giving employment to a large
number of men .
