Thanksgiving exercises at the church
were quite largely attended, and proved
very interesting. As announced by pro
gramme, brlcl addresses were given ny
Rev. Prof. H. B. Esson. on "Our
Schools," Chas. Hall, "Our Young Peo
ple," Miss Olive HarrU, "Our Women,"
Dr. Hall, "Our Government" Rev.
Hawkins, "Our Churches." All these
ildresses were carefully prepared and
stened to with marked attention. Tbe

that a woman went to the telegraph of
fice and informed the operator that ber
husband had gone to Chicago to get a
motto for Sunday school, but she had
forgotten to tell him the inscription or
