lamette and Yamhill rivers. $40,000, to

submitted February 21, 1800, for Wil
lamette river from Portland to Eugene,

survey dated March 0, 1600, for lock
and dam on Yamhill river. Provided,
that contracts may be entered into by
tbe secretary of war for such materials
and work as may be necessary to com
plete such improvements, or said
materials may be purchased and work
may be done otherwise than by con
tract, to be paid for aa appropriations
may from time to time lie made by
law, not exceeding in the aggregate
1200,000, including the amount herein
appropriated, and provided further,

ly game of baseball waa played at

condition that Moran plead guilty to

the county jail. Lawrence and tha

and was well known to most of the old
