The reduced freight rates on apples from either Oregon or Washinton, as far east as Chicago, now enables our fruit raiders to dispose of their prod ucts. The fruit can now be shipped to Chicago at the rale of one dollai per one hundred pounds, in carload lots. This rale will probably enable all the apples of the two stales thut are worthy of shipment, to reach a paying market this year on account of the high price of apples in the east.
