The Oregon Dairyman's league meeting last Tuesday, resulted in having their own plant in Portland. It Is now under way. The lumber mills of Scappoose are doing a good business. Thirty three carloads of lumber were ship ped last month to eastern points, representing a freight business oi $17,000 for this station. Charles Spacek is cleaning up ana papering the McKay restaurant and will run it In connection with his hotel. The store of Mrs. Simons was robbed Sunday night of about $10 In money and a large sack tobacco, groceries, etc. Mrs. Matilda Kockritz of Kalama visited her daughter, Mrs. Charles Wikstrom, last week. Miss Milderd Taylor of Portland, a former teacher here, spent tho week end as a guest of Prof, and Mrs. Dodson.
