Committee our earnest co-operation

cull upon us and give us tho oppor
tunity to servo tu any reasonable ex-lent.
We agree with the state committee
that tho desired results can not be
cchloved with news and editorials
alone and we approve the proposal of
the state committee to make liberal
use of the advertising columns of the
papers of the state.
We do not reel, however, that we
should be called upon to solicit fundi
or advertising In our own columns
We do not wish to he placed In the
position of soliciting funds for our
own profit and thereby leaving our-
M'lves open to the accusation of pro
fiting upon the patriotism of the peo
ple.
We remain of the opinion, how
ever, that the use of advertising space
la necessary und also that the news
papers have done their duty wheu
they give full news and editorial gup-
port.

of the Fourth Liberty loan; that at
that lime the amounts desired for ad
vertising In each county be appor
tioned and that the method of raising

thanks of this asoclatlon be extended
to the North Bend Chamber of Com-
merce, the Marshfleld Chamber of
Commerce and Hon. Louis J. Simp
ton; the commercial organizations
ind Mr. Simpson co-operating to
make our visit one of ' continuous
pleasure and profit. And we do es
pecially thank Mr. Simpson and his
wife for. the kindly Invitation to
' ipend a part of its sessions at beauti
ful Shore Acres, their mansion by the
;ea, where we have enjoyed the most
royal hospitality.
Our thanks are also extended to
