Double E. Quick, a few days ago, was removing some chairs from the basement of the Methodist church. He left his keys on the outside and the door slammed shut and locked, so he was a prisoner in the church for several hours. County Clerk Harnett states he can easily take care of a dozen chickens, I If H. 8. Mason helps him. The amendments follow: To change the statute on mort gage lien enforcement against a resi dence built by tho owner and occu pied by him so that a Hon may be created when both husband and wife sign a contract order for material for addition or other improvement. To protect non-resident property owners by allowing them the same protection as now given through the posting of a notice on the premises, this to be done by their filing with tho county clerk a standing notice that they will not be responsible for labor or material thereafter em ployed upon the building. To require the dealer to Bind to tho owner only one notice that the contractor Is buying from him in ordor to protect his Hen rights, In stead of requiring that a copy of the invoice of each delivery be sent, as now provided. This amendment fol lows the Washington law which was tntotidod to be followed when the presont statuto was enacted through error, It is said.
