NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS SEWER IMPROVEMENT OF Whereas, the common council of the city of St. Helens, Oregon, did on the 26th day of May A. D.. 1913. pass an ordinance declaring its in tention to improve Sewer District No. S of said city, by constructing a aewer therein; which said Sewer District No. 5 is embraced and en tirely included within the following boundaries, to-wit: Beginning at the northwest cor ner of block 80, in said city of St. Helens and running thence northerly along the east line of Bond street 602 feet; thence westerly and parallel to Willamette street, 190 feet to the common corner of lota 9. 10, 13 and 14 of block 92 of said city, thence southerly and parallel with Bond street, 232 feet to the common cor ner f lots 5, 6, 17 and 18 of said block 92; thence westerly and par allel with Willamette street, 420 feet to the center line of Pine street, thence northerly on the cen ter line of Pine street, 348 feet to the south line of Wyeth street, thence westerly on the south line of Wyeth street 420 feet; thence southerly at right angles to Wyeth street 116 feet to the common corner of lots 9, 10, 13 and 14, of block 111 in said city. thence westerly and parallel with Wyeth street, 280 feet to the cor ner of lots 9, 10. 13 and 14 in block 124 of said city; thence northerly at right angles 602 feet to the com mon corner of lots 7, 8. 15 and 16 in block 125 of said city; thence westerly at right angles 528 feet to the east line of the S. P. & S. rail road right of way; thence south westerly along the east line of said right of way 1015 feet more or less to the west line of the n. M. Knighton and wife donation land claim; thence southeasterly along the west line of said claim, 1372 feet, more or less, to the northerly line of the county road running from St. Helens to Houlton; thence northeasterly on the northerly line of the above county road, 785 feet, more or less, to the center line of block 129 of said city; thence southerly and parallel with Cali fornia street 164 feet, more or less, to the common corner of lots 3, 4, 19 and 20, in block 129 of said city; thence easterly at right angles 100 feet to the west line of California street; thence northerly on the west line of California street 193 feet more or less, to the north line of the county road running to Houlton: thence north easterly along the north line of said road. 1025 feet, more or less, to the center line of Pine street; thence southerly on the center line of Pine street 47 feet more or less to the center line of the county road aforesaid ; thence northeasterly along the center line of said road 400 feet more or less to a point 40 feet northerly in right measure ment from the north line of Wash ington Square; thence easterly and parallel to the north line of Wash ington Square 469 feet more or less to the west line of Pacific street; thence northerly on the west line of Pacific street, 330 feet to the north east corner of block 80 of said city; and thence westerly on the south line of Willamette street 200 feet to the place of beginning, contain ing 405 lota; Now, therefore, notice is hereby given that on Monday, June 16th, 1913. at the hour of 7:30 o'clock p. m. of said day, a meeting will be held by the common council of said city, at the council chamber in the City Hall of said city of St. Helens, for the purpose of hearing any and all complaints by or on the part of any and all property owners within the limits of said sewer district, and all persons whose property is so affected shall have the right, and are hereby notified to appear at said time and place, and make and file their objection to the location of the boundaries of the said dis trict or make any other objections to such improvements. Matter of cost bill Frank Hod man vs. County Court: It appearing to the court that on the 3rd day of June, 1913. the judge of the Circuit Court of the State of Oiegon, for Columbia County, made an order restraining the County Court from declaring the result of the local option liquor election held in the city of Clats kanie on the 7th day of April, 1913, and it appearing that a cost bill has been filed in said matter, and a judgment against the county in the sum of $16 has been duly entered in the judgment lien docket, it is ordered by the court that W. E. Critchlow, as attorney for original petitioners for said election be notified to pay said cost bill. Matter of claims against the County: On this dav the claims against the county, as docketed in the general fund and the general road fund claim and warrant registers were examined by the court and allowed in the various sums as carried out by the court on said registers, being as follows: OENKRAl. D., 1913, pans an ordinance declaring its intention to iin- prore sewer district No. 7 of said city, by constructing a tewer therein, which aid sewer district No. 7 is included and entirely embraced witnin the following described boundaries, to-wit: Beginning at the northwest corner of Block 48, St. Helens, Oregon, and ran nine thence toutherly along the east line of Hemlock street, 791 feet; thence westerly and parallel to fit Helens street, 180 feet to the common corner of lots 10, 11, 12 and 13, block 58 of St. Helens ; tbence southerly at right angles 116 feet, thence westerly and parallel district said road is located shall open the same for public travel. Matter of petition of Jos. Hacken berg et al for a county road: On this day this matter coming on for hearing, the report of the board of county road viewers hav ing heretofore been duly read on two different days of the same term of court, and the same having been continued for consideration, and the court being now fully advise in the matter, and no remonstrance or petition for damages being filed and the court being satisfied that such road will be of public utility and the report of the viewers being favorable thereto, It is ordered by the court that said report, survey profile and plat be recorded in suit able books kept for that purpose and from thenceforth said roac shall be a public highway. It is further ordered by the court that the road supervisor in whose dis trict said road is located, shall open the same for public travel. Whereupon, court adjourned un til Friday, June 6, 1913. tnday, June bth, 1913, 7th ju dicial day. Court came pursuant adjourn ment. Officers all present. Due proclamation being made the following proceedings were had: Matter of refunding liquor license fee to Gus Frederickson On this day Gus Frederickson sur renders to the court that certain liquor license for Scappoose pre cinct dated September 7, 1913, for the period of twelve months from said date, and it appearing to the court that by operation of law said license became void on the 3rd day of June, 1913, it is ordered by the Court that the un-earned portion of the fee paid for said license be re funded. It is further ordered by the court that the clerk be ard he is hereby ordered to issue a warrant on the general fund in the sum of $105.12, in favor of Gus Fredrickson.
