Steven Moore and the Oregon secondary allowed Missis
sippi State 285 yards through the air last week. The Ducks,
who ranked 115th in the nation in passing defense last sea
son, have made the secondary a priority for improvement,
but it did not show against the Bulldogs.

Autzen Stadium, the Duck second
ary can improve in a hurry. But if
they don't, it could spell
doom down the road.

Sophomore Jeff Rowe made only 13 passing attempts a
week ago in Nevada's 24-23 win over Southern Utah, com
pleting eight for 85 yards. He is, however, listed as the starter
for the game against Oregon. The Reno, Nev., native played
in six games last season, and completed 17 of 26 passes. He
is relatively untested behind
center, and is a source of
concern in the Nevada
offensive attack. If Ore
gon can pressure him,
the Wolf Pack will have
to feature running back
