The Ducks, who ranked 115th in the nation in passing defense last sea son, have made the secondary a priority for improvement, but it did not show against the Bulldogs. With Nevada and inexperienced quarterback Jeff Rowe visiting Autzen Stadium, the Duck second ary can improve in a hurry. But if they don't, it could spell doom down the road. Steven Moore senior cornerback Los Angeles 5*9", 179 lbs. NEVADA Sophomore Jeff Rowe made only 13 passing attempts a week ago in Nevada's 24-23 win over Southern Utah, com pleting eight for 85 yards. He is, however, listed as the starter for the game against Oregon. The Reno, Nev., native played in six games last season, and completed 17 of 26 passes. He is relatively untested behind center, and is a source of concern in the Nevada offensive attack. If Ore gon can pressure him, the Wolf Pack will have to feature running back Chance Kretschmer, making it easier on the Ducks to focus de fensively.
