Forest Service Trailhead
Fee Symposium
In 1998, the Willamette National Forest, along with several other forests,
abruptly introduced a new revenue program set up as a Recreation Fee
Demonstration Program (Fee Demo). The “test” program, originally set to
terminate in 1999 has recently been extended for a third time by congres
sional action. The difficult issue of “pay-to-play” fees has sharply polarized
the self-propelled outdoor recreation community. The Outdoor Program
has invited articulate and passionate advocates on both sides of the debate
to discuss the legal and recreational issues of this program. This event
promises to be informative and compelling. Free!

La Nina Sea Kayaking

Passage. Three of these intrepid explorers will thrill us with a multimedia
slide presentation that details this exciting journey. Co-sponsored by the
UO Women's Center this event is free to UO students and OP Co-op
