owners of the New Carissa pay for clean-up costs. Bradbury
has said he is also fighting to ensure the state gets the high
est value for our timber products to benefit schools.

Lloyd Marbet

Marbet is a citizen activist who
served on the Citizen’s Utility Board
from 1986-1994 and the Clackamas
River Basin Council from 1996-2000.
Marbet’s platform revolves around
campaign finance reform, using in
stant runoffs in elections to immedi
ately determine winners and re
drawing political voting districts to
prevent gerrymandering.
Marbet’s campaign finance reform plan would involve re
ducing or banning corporations’ funds to finance cam
paigns, and has said that the 23 percent of registered Inde
pendent voters in Oregon are disillusioned with the
amount of corporate money in political campaigns,

Libertarian
Pole has been an electronics engi
neer at Intel Corp. since 1996,
worked at IBM for 30 years and was a
member of the Apollo 11 launch
team. He has no prior governmental
experience.
Pole has said that he would support
campaign finance reform and end
tax support for candidates and parties. Pole would also end
tax-funded political primaries, and has said that he would
protect the Oregon initiative process. He has said he would
redraw voter districts to oppose partisan politics. Pole said
he would also support ending term limits for elected offi
cials.
