Community Briefs Oregon Country Fair tickets now on sale Tickets are now available for the 29th Annual Oregon Country Fair at Fred Meyer FASTIXX locations in Oregon. The Mr will be held July 10,11 and 12 near Veneta. Tickets for Friday and Sun day are $10. Saturday is $15. In addition to the admission price, attendants will have to pur chase parking passes. Passes can be purchased in advance for $3 or $5 the day of the fair. Leslie Scott, the fair’s general manager, said in a press release that ticket prices didn’t go up this year, but because of the ex penses associated with traffic control there was a need to charge for parking. Instead of paying for parking, she encourages people to take advantage of the fine Lane Tran sit District shuttle from Autzen Stadium to the fairgrounds along the Long Tom River be tween Elmira and Veneta. The fair sells about 50,000 tickets every year for admittance to more than 100 performances at the 10 various stages. Also, 300 artisans and food booths will be present. The Oregon Country Fair was founded in 1969 and is a nonprofit corporation. Tickets are on sale at the EMU ticket booth or by calling 1-800-992-8499. No tickets will be sold on site or in the Veneta area.
