unique Opportunity to g» ■Real Lite’ Experience.” The Bookstore Board gives the student the unique opportunity to gain “real life” experience in a very successful business. As a Board member you are given the responsibility to make decisions that will have an effect on not only the Bookstore itself but for the University as a whole. The University of Oregon Bookstore Board has given me the experience I need to truly understand what it takes to make it in the business world. Any student interested in making it after college should take the opportunity to not only gain experience but also serve the University by making decisions that will keep the Bookstore a vital part of students lives into the new millennium. Worth Looking Into! 110: Kergroach playing for 20th victory today ■ Continued from Page 11 in the regular season, the Ducks’ goal is to post a winning overall record, Russell said. “If we do [finish with a winning record] this year, we will truly be at a different level,” Russell said. “It’s something that against this level [of competition] we have never done, and I feel that it’s very realistic. It’s not often that you get your last five matches at home.” In order to attain that goal, the Ducks need a win either today against USC, Saturday over UCLA or April 18 against No. 29 Wash ington, which they already lost to earlier in the season. Last weekend, Oregon lost eight three-set singles matches on their way to losing dual matches to Ari zona State and Arizona. “We’re still not making the best decisions down the stretch right now,” Russell said. “If we can, if we can get that going on our home courts, we’re competitive with just about anyone, I think. ’’ Today’s face-off with USC will pit two unfamiliar foes. The only time the Ducks and Trojans have tangled in Russell’s three seasons as head coach, besides in the Pac 10 Championships, was at a fall tournament during his first season. Russell said he thinks that the Ducks should be able to hold their own against the Trojans because of how the two teams fared against the Sun Devils. USC lost 4-3 to Arizona State, while Oregon lost 7-0 to the Sun Devils last Friday but had five close, three-set singles losses. Erwan Kergroach, up to No. 53 (( We’re still not making the best decisions down the stretch right now. ... If we can get that going on our home courts, we’re competitive with just about anyone. In No. 2 singles, Guillermo Carter (14-12) will play USC’s No. 98 Peter Gottesleben. After break ing a frustrating five-match losing streak that included many near victories last Sunday against the Wildcats, Carter will seek to start another streak —- this time win ning — against Gottesleben. In the marquee doubles match, two top-50 teams will square off as No. 43 Kergroach-Carter (14-5) will try for its seventh consecutive victory against Bastl-Gottesleben.
