The Oregon women may be asking them selves that very question after missing 18 attempts from the line in their 80-75 loss to UCLA at McArthur Court on Saturday af ternoon. "We just didn’t make free throws. That’s all there really is to say about it,” Oregon head coach Jody Runge said. The Ducks had their chances late in the game, fighting back from a 12-point deficit early in the second half to tie the game at 62 with eight minutes, 14 seconds to play. But after the tie, Oregon made just five of 10 free-throw attempts as the Bruins built their lead to as many as seven points in the final eight minutes. The win was only the Bruins’ second in the last 10 meetings between the two teams and improves their record to 8-5 overall and 3-1 in Pacific-10 Conference play. Ore gon drops to 6-6 overall and 2-2 in the Pac 10. "The difference in the game is that we didn’t make free throws,” said Runge, who missed her postgame live radio interview and left reporters waiting for 50 minutes. “1 think that's been the difference in every game we haven’t won, and we need to get that squared away.
