This volunteer position is for a three year term and is available to any member of the community, student, faculty member or em ployee of the University of Oregon, excluding employees or staff mem bers of the Oregon Daily Emerald. The primary purpose of the Ore gon Daily Emerald is to publish a newspaper that will provide educa tion and training for students in all aspects of newspaper operation by serving a campus audience with news, editorial, and advertising content. Board members act in all matters of finance, policy, and personnel. Members are required to attend monthly meetings and sometimes participate in committees requiring additional meetings.
