The girl, who spoke to police through a Spanish-speaking trans lator, said she climbed the score board because she thought there was a swing on top of it. It was later discovered that the 16-year-old girl had traveled to Eugene on a Greyhound bus with a friend who could not be located. The girl appeared to be fearful of uniformed officers, and police considered the possibility that she could be an illegal alien from Mexico. Her family could not be identified or located. The girl was placed in a home in Cottage Grove through the help of the Children’s Services Divi sion and Cahoots, a crisis coun seling intervention service deal ing with non-criminal action. Man sells drugs to undercover officer 2 On Sept. 25 at 2:25 p.m., a Eu gene man was arrested for un lawful distribution of a controlled substance and criminal trespass after selling drugs to an undercov er officer. Michael Clark Hubbard, 22, was arrested at 1340 Mill St. following a sale of marijuana to an officer. Woman arrested for sale of drugs 3 Eugene police arrested a local woman on Oct. 3 after she sold drugs to an undercover officer. Beth Allison Turoff, 27, was ar rested near the intersection of 13th Avenue and Garfield Street after a third sale of drugs to offi cers. The officers were able to ar rest Turoff after recognizing her as a suspect in a drug investigation. Two minors caught for alcohol possession 4 Two University students were cited for being minors in pos session of alcohol. On Oct. 3 at 10:30 p.m., an offi cer approached the students, who were walking toward the dorms on 19th Street carrying a case of beer and several open bottles. The students, both 19, attempt ed to hide the beer under their legs when they sat down. They were cited and later re leased. Cops catch youths urinating in public 5 On Oct. 3 at 10:05 p.m., two minors, both of Eugene, were arrested for urinating in public at 960 E. 19th Ave. The two were caught by officers. One of the sus pects was also defecating, and the other was in possession of alco hol. Man robs Track Town, makes off with $225 BThe Track Town Pizza restau rant at 1809 Franklin Blvd. was robbed Oct. 4 around 1 a.m. The suspect, who escaped with approximately $225, is described as a 160-pound white male in his mid 20s, 6 feet 2 inches tall with brown hair. At the time of the robbery, the man was wearing denim jeans, a dark shirt, a blue Starter jacket and ahhck hat. Stolen goods total $5,800 for past week /According to reports from the Eugene police, approximately $5,800 of personal property was stolen in the Eugene area during the past week, including several bicycle thefts on the University campus. The stolen property also includ ed many items that were left un locked or in unsecured areas.
