express bow enthusiasm t am to
see someone with such capabil
ity run for this seat

date, but he eclipses many of us
with hi* energy, drive and expe
rience in managing governmen
tal agencies Lee is visionary in
his policy-making lie ha* been
on the Oregon State Board of
Higher Education, the YMCA
board of director* and the
[Manned Parenthood board of
director* On each he was well
known lor his forward-thinking
and inclusive approach.
Lee'* life Ira* been devoted to
public service, and he know*
both the theoretical and practi
cal implication* of public
policy-making, lie* familiar
with Eugene's unique character
istic* ami problem* and has
been studying them for years
Let s give Let* a chance to
bring his superb skills to the

As my resident assistant,
Kliever does a wonderful job
running the show She l» always
eager to help out those who
need it Even when I feel guilty
for asking her to do something,
she never seems to mind and
always reassures me that it is
her job She is a really nice pen
son and is easy to get along
with She doesn't have this atti
tude tike "because I am an RA t
am better than you" or anything

(bike commuter* tend to ride

alizations (bicycles belong on
bike path*, not on the street),
and misplaced idealism (let's
just build more hike paths)
