Seasons Greetings Winter Craft Fair The EMU Craft Center and the Cultural Forum will sponsor the 1995 EMU Winter Craft Fair on Nov 29 and Nov 30 from 10 a m to 5 30 p m Each year Oregon artists dis play and sell handcrafted gifts during the lair This year, m the EMU Fir Room, local artists will also perform live to entertain fan goers The crafts were submitted to the Craft Center and juned by employees of the Craft Center The artwork on sale includes woodwork, jewelry, stain glass, pamtmgs and fibers For more information, call the Craft Center at 346-4361 Holiday Tours The Shelton MeMurphey-John son House begins the holiday season with "Castle on the Hill" tours On Nov 28 from 1 to 4 p m and every Tuesday throughout December, tours of the house will occur to mark the holiday season Su trees decorate the house, including the Parlor Tree, the Flo ral Tree, the Victorian Tree, the Night Before Christmas Tree, the Teddy Bear Room Tree and the Wedding Tree Besides the trees, exhibits of garlands, toys, teddy bears and dolls Irom around the world, particularly Asian dolls, will be on display The Shelton McMurphey-John BRIEFINGS son House is located at 303 Willamette St and parking is available on Fourth Street, north of the Amtrak Station Admission to the Shelton-McMurphey-John son House is $3 for adults and Si tor children under 12-years-old For more information, call 484 0808 Art A the Holidays The third annual Art & the Holi days Membership Show begins on Dec. 9 until Dec 23 with a special emphasis on children's art. The Membership Show, an opportunity for community mem bers to buy and sell artwork, is an untuned venue for local artists. All ages are encouraged to submit a maximum of two pieces on Dec. 4 between 10 a m. and 5 p.m or Dec. 5 between 10 a m. and 7 p.m New members are encouraged to submit their work Artists may want to conskier creating protects with their families as a way of focusing on this year’s family theme Work should be marked with the artist’s name and a price, matted or framed and ready to be hung There is a $5 hanging fee, or an artist can put in an hour’s worth of volunteer work and avoid paying the fee The Maude Kerns Art Center is iocatrxl at 1910 E 15th Ave and is open from 9 a m. to 5 p m Monday through Friday For more information, call 345-1571. Artists’ Holiday Sale The 10th Annual Artists' Holi day Sale will take place on Dec 8 from 5 to 9 p m.. Dec 9 from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. and Dec. 10 from 12 to 5 p m. at the homes of Eugene area artists and seven local homeowners. The sale will take place at 990 Van Buren. 97? W Broadway and 911 W Broadway. The work of three different artists ranging from photographs to copper heart ornaments will be on display in the various locations. Artists included in the sale are Faith Rahill, Maureen Culligan, Terry Warpinski, Erin Williams, Carol Westlake. Gil Harrison, Bev Soasey. Chri3 Gum, Elayne Arnold, Allan Voitchovsky, John Mancini. Margaret Keith, Debo rah Dailey, Terry Mcilrath, Debbe Cormtius and Tara Kemp By walking around the West Eugene neighborhood art lovers can experience a variety of quali ty work by the professional artists.
