Manlove tops list of new Oregon recruits The Oregon men's basket ball team announced a trio of re< ruits signed on Monda\ that promise to beef up the Ducks' squad next season. leading the list of re< ruits was Tyrone Manlove out of Wilson High School in Port land The h-foot-4 guard is arguably the state's top recruit, as he was listed among the top 50 juniors in the i ountry Ia«1 season w hen he averaged 21.5 points and 8 rebounds per game last season. "We are very elated about Tyrone's signing with our basketball program," coach Jerry Green said. "It is impor tant that the best players from Oregon want to stay home and play and we fee! that Tv's decision says a lot about our basketball program." Manlove is a four-year starter who was listed as one of the top five wing players at last summer's Nike All American (.amp in Indi anapolis Trie Ducks also announced the signing of 6 foot-4 point guard Mike Mi Shane out of South Salem High School. McShane aver aged 13 points, 10 assists. 5 steals and 3 rebounds last year as a junior. Jonathan Nelson, a stand out at Artesia High School in Lakewood. Calif., resigned with the Ducks, Green announced.
