Seniors call Alumni Association send-off 'sensational' Casino games, free food and drink, and music by Floater highlighted the second annual Senior Send Off on May 24 The event, sponsored by the Alumni Association, brought together nearly 600 seniors to cele brate their upcoming graduation and to introduce them to the benefits and services offered by the Alumni Association. This is our way of congratulating the seniors, welcoming them into the alumni ranks and wishing them well,' says Kathie Bedbury, associate executive director of the association. It alsc? gives us a chance to showcase some of the great opportunities these seniors will soon have as members of the Alumni Association," says lied bury. Meld in the i.MU Fountain Court, the send-off gave seniors the opportu nity to get together one last time to reminisce about dorm life, the Rose Bowl, Bookstore lines and nights at Rennie’s. The send off also provided some excellent raffle prizes including a lifetime membership in the Alumni Association valued at $375, two tick ets to the home opener football game against Illinois in September, comput er software and a University of Oregon football jersey. In addition to the exciting raffle prizes, all seniors received special gradpacks upon entering the send off that included: a 20 percent off coupon to the UO Bookstore, a UO picture frame, the commemorative Rose Bowl edition of Alumni Insider magazine and information about Alumni Association programs and services. Hey, free beer and pizza!” exclaimed senior Alison Sakulsky. This was a cool way to end my senior year I'm really beginning to feel like an alum!" "I had the best time," said senior Sarah Munson. It was great to hang out with everybody one last time before graduation.
